Our Mission
To promote the advancement of child welfare best practice in collaboration with public and private organizations serving at risk children and their families.
What We Offer
The Child Welfare Training Consortium at the University of South Florida provides support to child welfare provider organizations across Florida and the nation via its Pre-service Training and Professional Development program and its Promoting Achievement through Consultation & Training (imPACT) program.
Services include but are not limited to:
- Organizational needs assessment, consultation and technical assistance

- Assistance with board development and organizational culture change

- Program review and assessment
|
- Design, development and implementation of evidence based, research
|

driven, child welfare pre-service and in-service curriculum that addresses |
| |
identified needs |
- In-service training for an array of human services professionals, including

| |
those in mental health and medical services who encounter children and |
| |
families at risk |
- Team-building seminars and workshops that enhance organzational
|
| |
performance and customer satisfaction |
- On-the-job coaching and ongoing professional development activities for new
|
| |
and experienced child protection and welfare professionals |
- Case specific consultation
|
- Child welfare trainer preparation, consultation, on-the-job coaching and
|
| |
professional development |
- Substitute care recruitment, preparation and retention
|
How We Do It
- Assessment consultation, and training provided at your site and at
|

operationally convenient times |
- Utilization of service delivery strategies grounded in state-of-the-art technology
|
- Open enrollment training presented at the University of South Florida or at
|
| |
other mutually agreed upon sites |
- Through an on-the-job coaching/mentoring component that affords customers
|
| |
real-time observation and feedback on performance |
- Financial arrangements via contract or purchase of service arrangements with
|
| |
the Child Welfare Training Consortium at the University of South Florida |
